Rich Compton

Songs for both music lovers and everyday people

With a soulfully authentic singing voice and guitar playing style, Rich Compton's music successfully blends the genres of Folk, Blues, Country, and Rock. Honed from his 20+ years of performing in a multitude of different bands on the west coast and in the midwest. Rich's wide variety of heartfelt songs are easy on the ears and crafted with meaning and musicality, in the tradition of classic artists like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, JJ Cale, Tom Petty as well as contemporaries such as The Wood Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Billy Strings, and Chris Stapleton. Accessible songs about life and our times that resonate with everyday people but nuanced in a way that deep listening is rewarded just as much. Originally from Northern California, Rich now calls Portland Oregon home since 2020.
